SunWater Spa: Unique & Tranquil with Mountain Views
About~
SunWater Spa is located in Manitou Springs, CO outside of Colorado Springs, about an hour and 15 minutes from Denver. The Spa features 7 public cedar soaking tubs spread out on a two story deck of various sizes, a sauna, a hot and cold plunge pool and a meditation stream. There is also a private tub available to rent.
The Pools~
There are 7 public cedar tubs that are filled with the water from the 7 minute spring across the street. The water is heated with solar panels and filled into the wooden tubs. Most of the tubs can hold 4-6 people, and one of the tub can fit 2. The tubs are circular with a bench inside to sit.

Minerals~
The water from the 7 minute spring and is filled into the cedar tubs. This in turn extracts the cedar oil from the wood creating a "cedar tea" as they call it which promotes a healthy respiratory system and more.
Clothing Status~
Mandatory in all areas.

What to expect~
The environment is calm and serene with mountain views, I even got to watch deer graze during my soak. There are 2 decks with 3 tubs on each level with a heated staircase connecting them. There is a capacity limit here, so it will never get too crowded. There is a women's bathroom that has a shower with shampoo, conditioner and body wash to use, and toilet to use upstairs. Expect to be at the spa for 2 hours.
Pro Tip~
Ask for a tour when you get there! I never found the sauna or other pools.
What to bring~
Bathing suit, change of clothes, towel, robe if you want but not exactly imperative given the size of the deck areas, and flip flops,

Fees/Times~
Check the website for time variations, but there is a morning and afternoon soak. A day pass includes 2 hours at the spa for $25 a person.
Getting There~
514 El Paso Blvd, Manitou Springs, CO 80829
My Personal Thoughts~
This was a very unique soaking experience. I love the way the wood tubs look, and the Mountain View. It is really cool too that you can fill up your water bottle at the 7 minute spring across the street and drink the water while you also soak in it.
